There’s something about thunderstorms that have always relaxed me. As if it were my own anger and anxiety coming down around me. Thunderstorms are a way of saying that sometimes things are loud, cloudy, and unclear. But, it’s okay because sometimes those things can be healing. Thunderstorms bring rain, cool down the heat, give flowers and trees a drink. Like it’s making a storm just to make something else better. When there’s a storm coming, I open my windows, look to the sky, and smile because I know that something incredibly beautiful is about to happen. So don’t fear the storm, stand in it (only metaphorically, don’t actually stand in a thunderstorm, that’s dangerous). But breathe it in and realizes that maybe this thing that seems terrible may be paving the way for something new and beautiful.
